Privacy policy

Last updated October 29, 2026Effective October 29, 2026Version 2.9

This policy explains what Creator Wear collects, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The short version below is a guide; the full policy after it is what applies.

The short version

  • Your video and projects stay on your device. We never upload them.
  • Audio you upload is deleted within 24 hours. Your reports stay in your account until you delete them.
  • Yemi, our AI coach, sees your messages and report details, never your audio. We don't store your conversations.
  • We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
  • You can download your data or delete your account at any time from Settings.

1Who we are and what this covers

Creator Wear LLC ("Creator Wear", "we", "us") makes Creator Wear Studio and runs creatorswear.com and studio.creatorswear.com. This policy covers both websites, the Creator Wear Studio web and desktop apps, and our waitlists.

Our Terms of service set out the rules for using the service. This policy is about your information.

2What stays on your device

Creator Wear Studio is built so your work stays with you.

  • Your video never leaves your device. No feature uploads footage.
  • Your projects are saved on your device: in your browser's storage on the web, and in the app's own files in the desktop app. We don't have a copy.
  • Editing, playback and export run on your computer.
  • When you score several recordings at once, their file names stay on your device. We know each file only by its place in the batch.
  • Scoring a recording before you have an account happens in your browser. The audio isn't uploaded for that score, and the score isn't sent to us. If you record a take there, the microphone is on only while it records.
  • The free checkers on our site (loudness, peaks, the mic test and the AI cleanup check) measure your file or recording in your browser. Nothing you check is sent to us.
  • A share card is made on your device. Its link and QR code carry your invite code and, in the QR code, the score the card shows, so whoever opens it sees that number. Nothing is stored when someone opens it.
  • A sound check is recorded and measured in your browser. The recording is never sent to us; only its summary numbers are saved to your account.
  • If you then create an account to save, clean up or share that take, it waits in your browser's storage until you choose to analyze it or not. One older than 24 hours is never offered, and it's deleted the next time the site looks for it.

Audio leaves your device only when you use a feature that needs our servers: analyzing a recording in your account, cleaning it up, generating captions or detecting beats. Each one starts when you ask for it, never in the background.

3What we collect

Account details
Your name, email address and password, which we store only as a one-way hash. If you use a third-party sign-in option, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service.
Language
The language you sign up in, or the one you later choose in Settings or in the site footer, saved to your account so the app and our emails to you use it. Before you have an account or make a choice, we use the language your browser asks for and don't store it.
Your setup and answers
The mic, interface, headphones and room details you add in My home studio, and your answers to the optional questions we ask after sign-up (what you record with and what you make). If your mic isn't listed, that includes the name you type and, if you choose one, the kind of mic it is (such as a wireless lav or a USB mic). We use the kind of mic to tailor the advice, cleanup and estimated ceiling in your own reports.
Audio you upload
Recordings you send for scoring, cleanup, captions or beat detection.
Reports
The scores, findings and recommendations we produce from your recordings, which appear in your History.
Batch scoring
If you score several recordings at once, a record of each batch: each file's place in the batch, whether it's waiting, scoring, done or couldn't be read, and a link to its report. File names aren't part of it.
Messages to Yemi
What you type to Yemi, our AI coach. We use it to generate a reply and don't save the conversation.
Billing details
Your plan, billing period and payment history. Your card details, billing address and any tax ID go to our payment processor. We can see your card's brand and last four digits, and we keep a card fingerprint for the once-per-card refund rule. We never see or store your full card number.
Security and device information
Your sign-in sessions (including IP address and browser type), the devices you've signed in from, a log of security events such as sign-ins and password changes, and short-lived verification codes, which we store only as hashes.
Usage records
Counts we need to apply your plan, such as analyses, cleanup minutes and Yemi usage, and basic records of failed cleanups so we can fix them. If you enter gear we don't recognize, we keep what you typed so we can add it.
Messages you send us
Bug reports, feature ideas, support and refund requests, and any feedback you give when you cancel or delete your account. Bug reports include the page you were on, your browser type and your screen size. An answer to "What should we build next?" includes only what you type: your words and, if you add one, your email address. It isn't linked to your account.
Referrals
If you share or use a referral link: your referral code, who referred whom, any rewards, the bonus cleanups you earn and use, and the referral credits you earn (what each is worth, the plan it was priced on, and whether it is waiting for you or on your account). To keep the program fair, when an invite is used we compare the two accounts' email addresses and check whether the invite was used in a browser where the inviting account has signed in, using the device recognition described under Cookies. Nothing new is stored for that check.
Sound checks
If you run a sound check: its summary numbers (your level, true peak, noise floor, how far your voice stood above it, clipping and room reverb), the mic saved in My home studio at the time, and the date, so your next check can say what changed. We keep your last 10. The recording itself is made and measured in your browser and never sent to us.
Founder status
If you become a founder: your founder number, whether it's provisional or confirmed, the dates, and, if your founder status ever ends, the reason. Two choices are off until you turn them on in Settings: showing the founder badge on your share card, and appearing on the founders wall at /founders under a name you type yourself. Only that name and your number are shown on the wall, and turning it off removes you.
Discord roles
If you link your Discord account in Settings: your Discord user ID, and the access and refresh tokens Discord gives us so we can keep your roles up to date, stored encrypted. We send Discord five things about your account: whether you hold founder status, your founder number, your plan, the day you made your Studio account (the date only) and your best Performance score, so the Creator Wear server on Discord can offer you roles for them. We keep them up to date on Discord whenever one changes. On your Discord profile the connection reads Founder and your number (for example, Founder #012) for a founder, or Studio member for anyone else; it never shows your name, email, plan or score. None of this is sent unless you link, and the roles are yours to claim in the server. When you link, Discord shows us your basic Discord profile; we keep only the user ID from it, never your Discord name or picture, and we don't get your servers or messages. Unlinking, or deleting your account, clears all five and the profile text on Discord, revokes the tokens and deletes them. What Discord does with what it holds is covered by Discord's own privacy policy.
Waitlist details
If you join a waitlist: your email address, how you found us (such as a referring website or campaign tag), anything optional you add, such as what you create and your current gear, and whether you ticked the box for marketing email (and when).
Scoring without an account
Scoring a recording before you sign up happens in your browser, so we don't receive the audio, the score or your IP address for it. Scores made the earlier way, which uploaded the recording, are kept for 7 days from when they were made so they can be claimed by creating an account, with a scrambled (hashed) version of the IP address that limited anonymous use.
Funnel counts
A running total, per day, of a few steps: visits to our home page, the score page, the founders page and the pricing page, scores shown on a first visit (a dropped file and a recorded take counted apart), clicks on the button to fix a take, visits to each free checker and the results it showed, clicks on their Fix it in Studio button, sign-ups, first analyses, checkouts started and completed, how often the note about cleanup on Lite is shown and clicked, how often a Free plan reaches its monthly cleanup limit, and how many answers to "What should we build next?" are sent. Each count is only the day, the step and a number, kept in our own database. It has no cookie, IP address, account or visitor identifier, and nothing that could tell us it was you. We don't count you at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

We don't collect your video, your projects, your contacts or your precise location. We don't use advertising or tracking tools, or anyone else's analytics, and we don't fingerprint your browser or device.

4How we use it and why

To provide the service
Scoring and cleaning your audio, producing reports, running Yemi, keeping your account and History, and processing payments. We need to do this to provide the service you signed up for.
To keep the service secure and fair
Verifying sign-ins, recognizing new devices, preventing abuse and fraud, and applying plan limits and the once-per-card refund rule. This is in our legitimate interest and yours.
To communicate with you
Account and security email, the getting-started series, replies to your messages, launch notices for a product whose waitlist you joined, and marketing email if you've asked for it. Marketing email is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
To improve the service
Using the bug reports, feature ideas and feedback you send us, and the daily funnel counts, which tell us how many people take each step but never who. This is in our legitimate interest.
To meet legal obligations
Such as keeping tax and accounting records.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we don't use your recordings, reports or conversations to train AI models.

5Your recordings and reports

Uploaded audio is deleted within 24 hours
We store each upload only long enough to process it and let you replay flagged moments in your report. Our storage deletes every upload automatically within 24 hours.
Cleaned audio isn't stored
When cleanup runs on our servers, it uses the audio you already uploaded and sends the cleaned file straight back to you. We don't keep a copy.
Captions and beats
To generate captions or detect beats, the app uploads the audio needed (for captions, a speech-only track prepared on your device). Transcription runs on our own servers, not a third-party AI service. The results go back to your editor and are saved with your project on your device.
Reports stay until you delete them
Your scores and reports are saved to your account so History works across your devices. You can delete a single report or clear your whole History at any time, which removes them from our database.
Only you can see your reports
Every request for a report, recording or cleanup checks that it belongs to your account. Reports have no public link.

6Yemi, our AI coach

When you message Yemi, we send your message, the recent conversation and, if you're asking about a report, details from that report to our AI processing provider to generate the reply. Yemi never receives your audio, video or projects.

We don't store your conversations. They stay in your browser while the chat is open. We keep only a count of your usage against your plan's allowance.

Yemi's replies are generated automatically and can be wrong. Treat them as guidance, not professional advice.

7Service providers we use

We use a small number of service providers to run Creator Wear. Each one acts under a contract with us, receives only what its role needs, and may use it only to provide its service to us.

Payment processing
Handles checkout, subscriptions, tax calculation and refunds. Receives your name, email address, billing address, payment card details and any tax ID you enter.
Cloud database
Stores your account, setup, reports and the other records described in this policy.
Temporary file storage
Holds the audio you upload until it's processed and deletes it within 24 hours. It never receives video.
Hosting and compute
Runs our websites, the app and the audio engine that analyzes your recordings. Processes what you send to our servers, including uploaded audio and standard request information such as your IP address.
AI processing for the coach
Generates Yemi's replies. Receives your messages, the recent conversation and report details. Never receives audio.
Email delivery
Sends our emails. Receives your email address and the content of each message. If you're on our marketing list, it also holds your email address and any waitlist details you gave.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business. In a sale, this policy would continue to apply to your information.

8Where your data is processed

Creator Wear is based in the United States, and your data is stored and processed in the United States. Our database, the temporary storage for audio you upload, and the servers that run our websites, the app and the audio engine are all there.

The providers that handle payments, email delivery, the coach's replies and bot protection may also process the information they receive in other countries, as part of providing their service.

If you use Creator Wear from outside the United States, your information is transferred to the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognized safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

9How long we keep it

Uploaded audio
Deleted within 24 hours.
Cleaned audio and Yemi conversations
Not stored.
Reports and History
Until you delete them or your account.
Account, setup and security records
Until you delete your account.
Bonus cleanups
Each grant expires 90 days after you earn it, and is deleted with your account.
Sound checks
Your last 10 checks, as summary numbers, until you delete your account.
Batch records
Deleted 30 days after the batch is made, or with your account. The reports a batch made stay in your History until you delete them.
Discord roles
Your Discord user ID and the encrypted tokens, until you unlink Discord or ask to delete your account.
Scores made without an account
A score made in your browser is never sent to us. One made the earlier way is deleted 7 days after it was made unless you claim it by creating an account.
Unverified sign-ups
Accounts whose email address is never verified are deleted after about 24 hours.
Waitlist entries
Until you ask us to remove you, which also stops waitlist notices. Unsubscribing stops marketing email.
Data exports
The copy we store for your download link is deleted when the link expires, 24 hours after it's made, or straight away if you delete your account.
Refunded cards
A one-way hash of a refunded card, for 24 months. See the next section.
Billing records
As long as tax and accounting law requires.
Funnel counts
Kept as daily totals. They hold nothing about you, so there is nothing in them to delete with your account.

10Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We disable it immediately: you're signed out everywhere and any paid plan is canceled. You then have 14 days to restore it, in case it was a mistake or someone else got into your account. After that, we permanently delete:

  • Your account and profile.
  • Your gear setup and your sign-up answers.
  • Your reports and History.
  • Your batch records.
  • Your preferences and email settings.
  • Your sessions, recognized devices, security log and verification codes.
  • Your usage counts, bonus cleanups, sound checks, usage and error logs, legal acceptance records and subscription record.
  • Your Discord link: the values on Discord are cleared and the tokens revoked when you ask to delete your account, then the Discord user ID and the tokens are deleted.
  • Your bug reports and feature ideas, and your referral code.

Any data export copy we're holding for you is deleted straight away, when you delete your account.

A few records have to stay: for accounting, for the refund and referral rules, or so a limited offer stays limited. From each one we remove your email address, your account, card and payment customer identifiers, and anything you wrote, and keep only this:

Refund requests
The amount, the outcome and the dates. It's our accounting record that a refund was paid.
A refunded card
If you were ever refunded under the money-back guarantee, a one-way hash of that card and the refund date, for 24 months. It stops the once-per-card guarantee from being reset by creating a new account. It holds no name, email or card details. If you were never refunded, nothing about your card is kept.
Referrals
The status and dates of referrals you made or came through, and what any reward was: the plan and amount of a free month or a referral credit, or the number of bonus cleanups. Rewards count toward the other person's limits. A referral still waiting to qualify, and a credit still waiting for you to choose a plan, are canceled.
Founder membership
Your founder number, its status and dates, so the 100 numbers stay accurate and a number is never given to anyone else. The name you typed for the founders wall is deleted.
Feedback
If you told us why you canceled or deleted your account, the reason you picked and the date. Any note you wrote is deleted.
Support and data requests
For each support request, the date, your plan at the time and how quickly we replied, so we can check our response times. For export and deletion requests, that the request was made and completed.
Our staff log
If a staff action involved your account, the action and its date, with your email address removed.
Billing and tax records
Held by our payment processor and in our accounts, for as long as the law requires.

A waitlist is separate from your account, so deleting your account doesn't remove you from one. Ask us and we will. While you're on a waitlist, we also keep a note if email to your address has bounced.

You can also delete individual reports or clear your History at any time without deleting your account.

11Your choices and rights

Download your data
From Settings, you can download a copy of your data in a machine-readable format: account details, preferences, setup, a billing summary, History, and account and security records. We email you a private link that works for 24 hours and only opens when you're signed in. When the link expires, we delete the copy we stored for it. Uploaded audio isn't included, because it's already deleted.
Correct your information
Update your name, email address and password in Settings.
Delete your data
Delete reports, clear your History, or delete your account, as described above.
Choose your email
Use the unsubscribe link in any getting-started or marketing email.

Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or certain US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict some uses of it, and to withdraw consent. Use the tools above or email us to make any request. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

12Emails we send

Account email
Email verification, sign-in codes, password resets, email address changes, data exports and important notices about your account or the service. These are part of having an account and can't be turned off.
Getting started
After you verify your email address, a short series of three emails over your first week with tips for using Studio. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the rest. We never put your scores or report details in email.
Waitlist notices
If you join a waitlist, a confirmation, and a notice when the product you joined for is ready. That's what joining asks for, so it doesn't need the marketing box. Ask us and we'll take you off the list.
Marketing
News and offers, only if you ticked the box to hear from us. The box starts unticked, and joining a waitlist without ticking it doesn't sign you up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Joining a waitlist doesn't create an account.

13Cookies and local storage

We use only the cookies needed to run the service. We don't use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Sign-in
Keeps you signed in. With "Keep me signed in" ticked, that's for up to 30 days; without it, until you close your browser. It's shared between creatorswear.com and studio.creatorswear.com, so the main site can show that you're signed in. In the desktop app, a ticked sign-in is also kept in your computer's keychain, so it survives quitting the app, until it expires or you sign out.
Device recognition
Lets us recognize a device you've signed in from, so we only ask for a verification code on new ones, and so an invite can't earn a reward when it's used in a browser where the inviting account has signed in. Lasts about 13 months.
Score claim
Was set when you scored a recording without an account the earlier way, so the score could move to the account you create. Lasts 7 days. Scoring in your browser sets no cookie.
Referral
Remembers a referral link you followed, for 45 days.
Language
Remembers the language you picked, for 365 days. Set only when you pick one.
Discord link
Set only while you link Discord from Settings, so we know the answer that comes back from Discord belongs to the request you started. It lasts 10 minutes and is deleted as soon as you come back.

We also save some things in your browser's local storage, such as layout preferences, the file names of your batches (for 30 days), a take you scored before making an account (see above) and, on the web, your editor projects. They stay on your device. Our funnel counts use no cookies and store nothing on your device.

14How we protect your data

  • Passwords and verification codes are stored only as one-way hashes.
  • Signing in on a new device can require a code sent to your email.
  • Every request for your reports, recordings or account data checks that it belongs to you.
  • Uploads go straight to storage through short-lived upload links.
  • Our audio engine only accepts requests from our own app.

No online service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

15Children

Creator Wear is for adults. It isn't directed to children, and you must be at least 18 to use it. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

16Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Creator Wear changes. We'll post the new version here with a new version number and date, and for material changes we'll also tell you by email or in the app.
